Inclusions

Loss or damages caused due to any of the following,

  1. Aircraft damage
  2. Fire or Lightning
  3. Calamities like Cyclone, Storm, Typhoon, Tempest, Tornado, Hurricane, Inundation and Flood
  4. Missile testing operations
  5. Riot, strike or malicious damages
  6. Calamities like Subsidence, Landslide including Rockslide or Earthquake
  7. Sprinkler leakages

Exclusion

Loss or damages caused due to any of the following,

  1. Willful act of property destruction
  2. Loss or damage due to decrementation
  3. Damages due to war, nuclear war or act of foreign aggression
  4. Cash & other specific commodities as specified by the particular bank
  5. Electrical or mechanical breakdown unless covered
  6. Damage/ Destruction due to specific natural calamities
  7. Robbery – as per the clauses of your home insurance policy
  8. Seperate clauses are applicable in case you are a co-operative society
  9. Under construction homes/properties are not covered
Claim Process - Procedure & Documents

You can claim insurance only within a limited time frame after the incident. The time period is usually 7 to 15 days, depending on your insurance provider

  1. Inform your insurance provider about the loss
  2. Lodge an FIR and submit a copy of the same to insurance company
  3. Submit your duly signed claim application form
  4. Submit copy of your house insurance policy
  5. All expenditure bills and estimates
  6. Ownership or rental agreement
  7. Once the claim is validated you will be reimburesed of your insured amount
